I did something over the weekend that I thought I would never do again. I made soap. Sounds simple, but goodness that Lye makes me nervous.
But I did it. I conquered my fear, I tried it again, and guess what? The second time was not nearly as bad. Only moderately terrifying. Perhaps next time it will be only mildly terrifying? And there will be a next time. Because I really do like having homemade soap.
This time when I made the soap, which I will share with you soon, I used beeswax. I thought that lovely smell would help calm me a little in the midst of my lye-stress.
All of this is really not suppose to be about my soap making adventure, but rather to simply tell you that I really like crafting, concocting, and making things with beeswax. I thought you and your little ones might too?
