Encourage curious minds by starting with a spark.

Each unit study is divided into 10 sub-topics. At the start of each sub-topic, you will spark your child's curiosity with an interesting fact and discussion question, and enjoy a recommended book and YouTube video together.

Did you know? The popsicle was invented by accident in 1905 when an 11 year old boy named Frank Epperson left his soda out overnight in the cold weather. I wonder... How are multi-coloured popsicles made?

What people are saying about Family Unit Studies:

"They are just so well put together: they're engaging, fun, and long enough to gain great information but short enough to keep interest at all levels."

—Jill A.

Hi, Sarah!

I’m a second year homeschooling mom, first time creating a curriculum on my own. We are LOVING the family units. We are using them for our 1st, 4th, and 6th graders, and our 4 year old is tagging along. They are just so well put together: they’re  engaging, fun, and long enough to gain great information but short enough to keep interest at all levels.

I love the differentiation for the different grade levels of our kids, too. It’s empowering to see them recognize they all might be learning the same material, but they have different levels of understanding to go along with the knowledge.

Again, thanks for all you do. Our first grader has Down syndrome and we use your literacy skills pieces all. the. time. You do wonderful work.

Have a beautiful day!

—Jill A.

I used this resource when I home schooled my nephews. They both loved all the things that we learned about dinosaurs! It had so many great learning activities that were hands on and engaging. I look forward to buying more units next year! Excellent resource! —Delila B.

We are right into the Rocks and Gems unit and they are LOVING it. Today my three year old brought a rock to me that he found digging in the sand at a park and told me he thought it was metamorphic because it didn't crumble easily. —Hazel A.

I’ve printed and looked through Reptiles. I’m really excited to start this with my third grade son. I’m most impressed how simple but effective it will be! I’ve eyed and looked through so many reptile units like xxxxxx, etc. I feel so many science units are information overload and really over the heads of kids. Your unit gets to the point and is in a language kids will actually connect with! AND it’s not full of write a paragraph, write, write, write and more writing! —Whitney

I am currently using this for our homeschool unit on dinosaurs. It involves little to no preparation, which is a plus with a toddler around. It is very engaging and hands on which I love, and it keeps my five year old engaged with room to grow into should we pull it out in future years. He looks forward to this daily. I have already gone ahead and purchased the ocean unit and I’m sure I will be making other purchases in the future! —Jessica C.

My students love rocks and they loved this resource. I have these Geodes that were just waiting to be broken and this allowed us to learn about them while we broke them. The kids had awesome day. —Jennifer Y.

My kids and I really enjoyed learning about the weather with the help of this unit. It provided me with guidance on how to teach them in an organized way. —Diana B.

Reignite a love of learning.
