Some of my favorite childhood memories are the summers spent at home—learning about butterflies and bees, stargazing while camping in the backyard, chasing frogs at the pond, picking wildflowers, and feeding the birds on our hikes.
I wanted to create those same magical moments for my own children and so much more! Which is why I’ve put together the perfect resource to make it happen. Welcome to Summer Camp at Home! This weekly-themed camp is designed to bring simplicity and learning to your days while creating lasting memories for your little ones. It’s easy to use and full of fun!
Today, I want to explore this beautiful resource in depth and show you exactly what your summer can look like.

Let’s take a closer look at each of the themes.
Theme #1: Butterflies
In the Butterfly theme, you will be introduced to Monica, the Monarch Butterfly, and follow her incredible journey through life. From the moment she begins as a tiny egg, you will witness her transformation and growth all the way to her awe-inspiring migration.
As you explore the theme, you’ll engage in fun and interactive crafts and activities that bring Monica’s story to life, allowing your little ones to connect with her journey in a hands-on way. Additionally, you’ll discover delightful snack ideas that you can prepare together, making learning even more enjoyable!
Theme #2: Honey Bees
Harriette the Honey Bee begins her life as a tiny egg, and when she hatches, she’s surprised to see she doesn’t quite resemble her mama at all! Harriette then takes us on an exciting journey through her life cycle, where she introduces us to her fascinating “waggle” dance, the process of pollination, hibernation, and so much more.
As you follow along, you’ll be able to connect with Harriette’s journey through creative crafts and activities that reinforce what you’ve learned. Enjoy a cute song, an exciting scavenger hunt, and a fun honey bee game to keep the excitement going and deepen your understanding of the busy life of a honey bee.
Theme #3: Stars and Constellations
Boris the Bear’s Grandpa is an excellent storyteller, and one evening, as Boris and Grandpa sit under the stars, Grandpa shares captivating tales about the night sky. He introduces Boris to the wonders of the constellations, including Ursa Major, Draco the Dragon, and Cassiopeia.
Along the way, you’ll get to create your very own stars using the included Constellation Cards. You can also explore the constellations from the comfort of your own spaceship and enjoy a special stargazing evening.
Theme #4: Flowers
As brothers David and Liam grow their very own garden, they learn all about planting seeds, growing flowers, and the magic of photosynthesis. As their flower garden grows big and strong, the brothers learn about the many uses for flowers before harvesting their very own crop.
To further enrich the experience, we’ve included book suggestions, games, and a charming flower song to inspire creativity and deepen the learning.
Theme #5: Frogs
Freddy the Frog wasn’t always a frog. Share in Freddy’s journey as he grows from a swimmer to a hopper! During Freddy’s adventures, we learn what frogs eat, where frogs live, and what happens to frogs when the winter months arrive.
Create your own 3D frog life cycle, help Freddy catch his favourite food, and sing a fun song while playing with the number stone cards included.
Theme #6: Birds
Join beautiful Carrie the Cardinal as she takes us on a captivating journey through a bird’s life cycle. Along the way, we’ll uncover the challenges birds face as they learn to fly, search for food, and build their nests.
You’ll also have the chance to unleash your creativity by crafting your own short story, helping to feed the birds around you, and embarking on fun bird-watching scavenger hunts!
Throughout this program, your little one will experience sensory activities, build fine and gross motor skills, develop language skills, explore with scavenger hunts, and increase creativity with imaginative play. Even more importantly, your child will spend special moments with you each and every day. You will both look back on and treasure these moments you have made together.
Summer Camp at Home is available in two versions—for big kids and for little kids! At the heart of each version are the same beautiful stories. These six-week nature programs give you and your children an easy summer filled with nature and beautiful memories.
