Easter egg crafts!! What is it about Easter that gets me in the crafting spirit? It must just be a bit of Spring fever that has me breaking out all the crafting supplies. A little mess can’t get me down this time of year!
I wanted to find some nice and simple Easter egg crafts I could do with the kids. Crafts that have my kids actually making Easter egg shaped crafts – not using real eggs or plastic ones either.
I found oodles, but narrowed it down to my favourite eight. Why eight? I have absolutely no idea why I chose that number. None.
Nevertheless, today I bring you eight Easter egg crafts!
This potato stamped Easter egg craft we did for the first time about 5 years ago. It is such a fun one! Little ones will have a blast painting the potato stamps and smearing them all over, totally un-egg like. Older kids can carve their own potatoes and make beautiful and intricate patterns and designs with their paint.
Tissue Paper Easter Eggs. Conversely, this craft we did for the first time just a few days ago. It is another great one for kids of all ages! The results look different for older and younger children – different, but equally beautiful. I love the mess-free sensory part to this Easter craft as well.
This salt painted Easter egg craft by The Pinterested Parent looks like loads of creative fun. If you have never tried salt painting, give it a go! It is quite mesmerising and relaxing, The results are stunning too.
A Doily Easter Egg by A Little Pinch of Perfect looks so lovely. If you are looking for a fairly mess free Easter egg craft, this one might just be perfect for you. This craft uses washable markers and water instead of paint for the pretty watercolour effect.
These watercolour Easter eggs by Projects with Kids use a sticker resist technique making them ideal for young artists!
It’s amazing how beautiful shaving cream art can be! These marbled Easter Eggs by Typically Simple look so pretty and they use a fabulous sensory art process as well. Another craft that looks beautiful, but different, when done by young and older artists.
Finally, this Paper Mosaic Easter egg craft by The Pinterested Parent. This one is great for little ones who love using scissors. Lots of hand strengthening fun with this pretty Easter craft.
And there you have them! Lots of Easter egg crafts to get you and your little ones happily crafting the afternoon away.
Spring is in the air friends. Today it was raining – not snowing – raining! I can hardly wait. So rain away Mother Nature and wash all that snow away with you, Me and my little cubs will be happily as clams with our Easter egg crafts inside.
I hope you and your little cubs will be too friends!
