Do you have a couple of bats or ghouls who are excited about that big day ahead? If so, you are going to love this 5-minute activity-filled Halloween countdown calendar!
Get ready to count down to Halloween with your toddler or preschooler enjoying one simple, no-prep Halloween-themed learning activity each day.
If I have learned one thing over the years, it is that you should always choose to knit your chickens hats for the winter if it brings you joy, even if everyone thinks you are crazy.
If there are two things I have learned over the years, it would be the importance of joining IN on all of that holiday excitement our little ones feel. Better yet, harnessing this excitement to launch them into some awesome, engaging learning.
This is why, well the second reason, not the chicken hat reason, I create these holiday countdown calendars. We have a Christmas version, a Valentine’s Day version, and today, I bring you our Halloween version!
Each day for 31 days, you will have a simple, no-prep-needed learning activity for your day. Each activity has a Halloween theme and is perfect for harnessing the excitement your little one might be feeling about Halloween getting closer and closer.
You will find simple ideas that practice:
- letters and sounds,
- numbers and counting,
- fine motor skills,
- rhyming and literacy skills,
- and so much more!
You will also find Halloween-themed coloring and activity pages too!
Each day you will wake up and know the exact activity for your day, have everything needed, and be set to simply play, learn and enjoy with your little one.
You can do this calendar day by day or choose activities at random as you like! There are a full 31 days spanning from October 1st-31st.
Ready to grab your Halloween Countdown Calendar? Grab it below and let the kids go batty!
Get ready to be the coolest Mom (or Dad, caregiver, teacher, grandparent…) on the block!
Thank you so much for reading. Happy Halloween!

Hi there, Is this calendar appropriate for an age 5 kid. She loves Halloween, so the idea of doing something to extend her celebration sounds great. But I”m unsure if this will be well under her abilities and not very fun for her. Thank you!
Great question Kris! This calendar would still be lots of fun for your 5 year old!
