Welcome to the third day of our Christmas Giveaways! Today is brought to you by none other than ME! It is my turn to give you the chance to win a really stellar, totally blissful, holiday gift.
The gift of Quiet Time!
The gift of an hour. a. day. to. yourself!
The gift of calm, centered, happy children!
Please let me introduce you to my brand-sparkly new Quiet Time Club!
If you have spent any time exploring this 8 year old blog of mine, you have likely stumbled upon a few recurring themes. Notably, my slight obsession with my dear chickens, and my only slightly less obsession with my daily Quiet Time.
You see, not all that long ago, my life was more than a little chaotic. The little people in my home were SO busy – in fact, they definitely bordered on wild. And these little wild ones of mine were so completely dependent on me to be with them at all times that I never had time to myself. I could not take a shower, respond to emails, read a book, there was no chance of that happening throughout my day!
And this was certainly taking it’s toll on me. As well as on my kids (but I didn’t see this yet in my journey).
I remember so vividly the night I realized I needed a change. I realized I was miserable! I wanted to LOVE being home with my kids, but at that very moment in time, I didn’t.
So, the next morning I loaded up the crew and went to the library. I got every book I could find on parenting, creating a rhythm, and child development. I spent months and months researching.
And then, everything clicked.
We needed a strong rhythm. We needed to alternate between times of active with times of quiet, times of togetherness with times of independence. And we DEFINITELY needed a daily quiet time.
Guess what? It worked.
My house was still busy of course, but I did not FEEL busy. I felt calm and in control. My children felt calmer and more in control as well.
Forget surviving, we started thriving.
This idea of rhythm and Quiet Time was so life changing for me that I have found my calling. To share this amazing way of life with anyone who will listen to me!
The only part of Quiet Time I found to be a challenge was coming up with a daily quiet time activity to get my little ones engaged and settled in Quiet Time.
So I have created a monthly Quiet Time Club to do exactly that. Plus share all I have researched and learned about the power of Quiet Time and how to ensure it is a raving success in your home.
The Quiet Time Club includes:
A Step-by-Step guide for establishing Quiet Time in your home.
This guide walks you through the exact steps needed to get quiet time up and running. You will know exactly what you need to do and exactly when your child is ready to move on to the next step. In no time at all, you and your child will be enjoying an hour or quiet, independent time each day to relax and recharge so you can ALL be at your best.
A month of Quiet Time Activities every single month.
Each month we use ONLY 5 supplies (such as pipecleaners, clothespins, a deck of cards, and so on) and regular household items to send you an entire month of quiet time activities. These activities are perfect for helping draw children into an activity and become engaged with quiet time. These specially designed activities make quiet time special, fun, and highly educational as well.
The 6 Golden Rules for Quiet Time Success
I have boiled everything down to these 6 simple tips and tricks which will make sure your Quiet Time is a success and a time cherished by everyone in your home.
My support group
Having trouble? Questions that need answering? We are here for you each step of the way. We are building a quiet time community to build a group of parents walking a similar path. This community will support you in establishing a rhythm and quiet time in your home, and once your home is thriving, we hope you will support the community as well.

Thank you for the giveaway! A year of quiet time?! It sounds incredible. We’ve done quiet time bins here and there, but between transitioning to losing nap time, school hours changing slightly, and other life difficulties and challenges, we’ve not made it to integrating a quiet time system or schedule. Encouraged for next year to start anew and implement quiet time regularly!
Love your positive attitude Lynanne! And I am so excited to support you on your new journey in the New Year. Good luck and thank you for entering!

This sounds amazing. We don’t have any family where we live so there is no such thing as “quiet” (alone) time in my life. Also, COVID has really put a damper on making new friends who have kids. I am doing your Play Into Kindergarten Readiness program along with some other programs and it is such a huge relief to know that every day I know what I’m doing – even if it’s for a few minutes! The idea of Quiet Time is so daunting when my 3 year old Just. Won’t. Stop. and her behaviour goes down the drain when I’m trying to interact with my 1 year old. Anyway, this is long. Can you tell I don’t get out much??
Hi Alyssa! I am so happy that you are enjoying Play into Kindergarten Readiness! I understand so well what you are sharing. It is such a difficult season! Thank you so much for entering this giveaway – good luck!
We are doing Homeschool for my 4 year old this year and this is so new to me and when I stumbled on your site I found not only help but relief! I’ve been so afraid I’m not doing enough but I love your reminders that is all about play right now. We are struggling to keep quiet time quiet recently so I’ve been pouring over your quiet bin posts! This would be so wonderful to win and implement!
Your Quiet time activities sound really great to use with my 3year old grandkids. Thank you for this offer!
Wonderful Karen, good luck!
Thank you
I hope I win! Thanks for all the great work you do.
Thank you Megan, good luck!
Thanks
About to have a newborn with a child and toddler to care for as well. Somewhat freaking out. Mostly realize there’s not much I can do at this point to change that haha
Except maybe get a rhythm going before the change happens! Would love to win this giveaway. Thanks for offering it!!
Oh congratulations Breanna! How exciting. I would be so happy to support you on your journey! Thank you for entering, good luck!
Thats awesome!!
Quiet time activity ideas would be very helpful here. I did not see what age it is geared for though. I will reread the article again to see if I missed it. My youngest is 7.
Who would say no to a year of quiet time? Thanks for the qiveaway!
This would be great to use with my granddaughters when they are here.
Getting a 3 year old to play by himself with out every single toy on the floor would be my dream quiet time.
I can definitely support you with this!! I have totally been here! It doesn’t count as quiet time if it takes just as long to clean up after. Thank you so much for entering! Good luck!
This sounds wonderful! Thank you!!
Quiet time sounds like heaven. A year of quiet time activities with my four year old would be the perfect Christmas gift!
Lovely Sivagami! Thank you for entering, good luck!

We love quiet time in this house, and always looking for more activities

I definitely would have written this exact comment about 8 years ago, Chanelle!! Thank you so much for entering – good luck!
While my kids are grown now and out of the home, this sounds like a wonderful opportunity for me and the grandkids. It would allow us to build educational bonds while having fun. They would love coming over to Mimi’s house (smile).
Love this Mia, good luck!
I would LOVE this! I have done quiet time with my daughter starting at 2.. she is now 8 and knows to go to her room for 1 hour and play or read or listen to music or books. BUT my 4 year old son needs help with what to do. This would be perfect for him! He struggles to find something to do and continually comes out. Thank you Sarah!

Whoohoo!

I am so excited about this contest.
I’m a 29 year old montessorian and Stay at home mom of one. He is 2.5 and my life. However, I’ve really been struggling with my mental and physical health. I suffered postpartum depression on top of a previously diagnosed bipolar 2.
Now that my son is more active, I’m finding my stress levels rising and it’s really effecting me in negative ways. It got so bad that I had to enroll my son into a traditional daycare twice a week just so I can catch my breath. I feel like I’m failing as a mom and as a person in general.
After reading your post about quiet time, I think it’s just what I need to get the time I need to find my calm and balance each day without having to hand my son over to someone else because I can’t handle it. Im at my wits end and can really use help in anyway possible.
I am so sorry to hear you are struggling, Loryn. What an incredible mom you are to recognize your needs and know when you need support. Being willing and able to enroll your son in daycare so you can take time to be at your best is so important. I would love to support you in helping to establish a daily quiet time in your days. Sending so much love your way. Thank you for entering! xo Sarah

Quiet time is such a gift to teach to a child. How many adults do we know who “never slow down” and are “so busy” all the time?! If we could instill in our children that it is not only acceptable to take some time for independence but that it is a healthy choice for them, this world would be a better, and maybe even more kind, place. Whoever ends up with the win of this giveaway, I pray that child is able to make it a lifetime habit!

The last year for me was horrific, laid off from my job as an engineer for over 9 years, just bought a house with my boyfriend who committed suicide shortly after I was laid off, COVID hit so the whole world shut down, and just when I got a new job as a mechanic, surprise major surgery threw me right back into the hole I had just crawled out from. All while trying to raise a preschooler. Oof. Could really use some quiet time. Would be a game changer 😋
I am so, so sorry to hear about the horrific year you have had Susie. I am sending so much love your way. Thank you for entering my giveaway, good luck!
Quiet time definitely needs to be implemented at our house! It sounds amazing!
What a wonderful giveaway, thank you!
