I have the sweetest little pinecone bee craft to share with you today! Your little one will flock to them like a bee to honey.
While you could absolutely create these pinecone bees with your children, this craft is also lovely to create solo. I encourage you to get those little ones to bed, make a warm cup of tea, and have a lovely time creating. We are creative beings, after all! When we are busy with our little ones all day, it is easy to lose sight of this.

Now, with that all said, let’s make some little pinecone bees!
The Sweetest Little Pinecone Bee Craft
Materials
To make a pinecone bee, you will need:
- Tiny pinecones
- Small twigs (about 1/2 inch long)
- Yellow and brown yarn or wool roving
- White tissue paper or wax paper
- Hot glue gun
- Thread (optional)
- Long stick (optional)
Instructions
First, wrap the yellow and brown yarn or wool roving around the pinecone until it resembles a tiny bumblebee. You can secure the ends with a bit of hot glue as needed.
We covered the entire pinecone with roving, but you could also do strips of yellow and leave the natural brown of the pinecone showing through for the stripes.
Next, cut out some little wings from white tissue paper or wax paper and secure them to the top of your bee with a dab of hot glue.
For the antennae, you can use two tiny twigs or pine needles attached to the bee’s head with a touch of hot glue.
If you are creating a seasonal nature table, your little pinecone bee will look adorable attached to a stick with some thread and propped in a vase! The more, the merrier, of course.
Voila! So easy and SO adorable!
I hope you enjoyed creating your sweet little pinecone bees!
