{A Photo on Friday} I am cheating a little bit this Friday, as this photo requires just a sentence or two. For this sweet quote mug I took a piece of contact paper and cut a heart out of the middle. I stuck this to the mug and then wrote my quote inside the heart. Then I peeled the contact paper off and baked it at 350 degrees for 90 minutes. Voila!
My daughter made me a mug like this for Mother’s Day a few years ago and I love it. This one is going to a special Hands on Mama who is celebrating a very big milestone on her blog!
Thank you for reading, now we are back outside to enjoy the sunshine!
How is your weather?

What did you write with? Did the baking make the writing adhere to the mug?
Sarah says
Hi Margie! Of course that information would be helpful. Thank you for your clarifying questions, I will be sure to edit my post. I used a black sharpie permanent marker. Yes, baking the mug makes the marker adhere to it, though it will wear off if you put it in the dishwasher. I hand wash them. Are you going to give it a try?

A simple and inexpensive but very thoughtful Father’s Day present! How great would a child who just learned to write feel being able to create something like this for their Daddy or Grandparent? I’m going to do this with my 3 and 5 year old 🙂

It would make a wonderful Father’s Day present Cecile! Great suggestion. And you are absolutely right, little printers would be awfully proud to create this gift!

Thanks lady! I LOVE the mug! I was wondering if you made it or ordered it — you did awesome! Even more special now that I know you wrote it yourself. (I have a thing for mugs so this was perfect!)

Very glad you like it! And you are most welcome — CONGRATULATIONS!
