Can You Fix It? (A Photo on Friday)

January 29, 2016 by Sarah Leave a Comment

A photo on Friday, because sometimes all you need is the picture.

Happy Friday friends! This week Sam was home with a bug again. One of those bugs that seem to go on and on and on. Near the end of the week he was feeling pretty good, but still had a fever, so he stayed home and kept busy (me … kept me busy).

Sam loves using his toolbox and asked me if there was anything that needed fixing. There was not. Though of course in this old house there actually is a lot, just not by my independent 5 year old handyman. So, he said, “No problem. Can I just take this chair apart then?”

I squelched my initial thought, and thought a little harder. It was a simple Ikea chair – and we had two which would make the put together easier – so I said yes. Which made my little handyman’s face light up.

Can you fix it? A great exploration for preschoolers!

And so he did exactly that.

Mind you, I do keep reminding him about the “fixing it” part, as it lay disassembled in our playroom…

I hope your week is wrapping up with healthy, happy little ones in your home! Fingers crossed our Elderberry Syrup kicks in soon.

Thanks for reading friends, see you here Monday.
