I am (so!) excited to partner with Mama May i today to tell you about this gorgeous sensory bin.
Do you remember being a young child and getting swept away in your own little world? Maybe it was paper dolls, a special dollhouse, or little characters who had lives all their own.
My boys love using their imaginations to create incredible and magical small worlds. That is why when I found the Mama May i Shop on Instagram I was so excited. The gorgeous toys, the beautiful sensory bins – perfect for my little creative ones.
The Mama May i Explore Sensory Bins were calling my name (or my boys … calling my boys names). Jessica, of Mama May i, has started to offer a sensory bin of the month club and I knew I just had to check them out.
When our first bin arrived I was very impressed. I knew I was going to like the bin, but I LOVE it. I love all the little details that make this a complete winter small world play space.
The wooden characters are perfect for imaginative play. The faces are left open-ended allowing them to take on any characteristics my little guys want them to have.
The big penguin might be feeling joyous, silly, grumpy, or sad depending on the day (and the imaginative storyline my little ones have concocted).
And those little snowmen might have carrots for noses, or perhaps the town will have run out of carrots and they will need something far more unique. Anything goes.
Creative little ones love that. And so does a Mama trying to nurture creativity, imagination, and outside-the-box-thinkers.
Our Sensory Bin kit came in a beautiful wooden box (since it was our very first month) and had characters, scenery, the sensory base, and a list of related books.
I absolutely love that I received a list of some suggested books to check out from our library. Adding in a story that is fitting for the scene provided brings this sensory bin to an entirely different level. Now my little ones can be recreating and retelling stories, extending them, and coming up with sequels or alternate endings. Incredible.
The characters are beautiful, as I mentioned, and the scenery is breathtaking. An adorable wooden igloo, (which has also been a skating pond, a cloud, and a chilly lake), a wooden evergreen tree, and stackable small wooden cups which can be shaped as a tree, or used to fill and pour the sensory base. Also included were small ice-like glass blocks. They were my Benjamin’s very favourite thing of all.
There was no detail left out of this kit, and as a Mama who focuses on beautiful and carefully selected toys, I really appreciate that.
I am so excited to let you know that Jessica of Mother May i is offering a 25% off discount to you for EVERYTHING in her store (including the Mama May I Explore sensory bin of the month club) Just use the coupon code: HOWWEELEARN
