Printable Playdough Mats
These printable human body playdough mats include the six major human body systems:
The Digestive System
Kids can squish, roll, and shape their own stomach, esophagus, and intestines right onto the printable model. It’s a fun way to learn how our food moves through the body.
The Respiratory System
Time to take a deep breath! This mat helps children explore the lungs and trachea as they build their own respiratory system, which is excellent for visualizing how we breathe in oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide.
The Muscular System
This printable looks so neat! It displays all of the muscles in the human body and allows children to recreate the muscular system or place playdough directly over the model of the muscular system.
The Skeletal System
This printable human skeleton is perfect for children who are beginning to learn about human bones. Perfect for little bone experts! While this printable doesn’t include all 206 bones, it features the major ones—and older children can be challenged to research which ones are missing. A great mix of creativity and science!
The Circulatory System
With red and blue pathways, this mat shows how the heart pumps blood through arteries, veins, and capillaries. It’s a great visual to help kids grasp how our circulatory system keeps us alive and moving.
The Nervous System
Get ready to spark some serious brainpower! Kids can shape the brain, spinal cord, and nerves while learning how messages travel throughout the body. It’s electrifying stuff—without the actual electricity!
How to Use These Playdough Mats
Just print them out, slide them into a page protector (or laminate them), and let your kids get creative with playdough as they learn all about how our bodies work. You can also use it to let children draw the major body systems or use dry-erase markers for labelling—so many possibilities!
I hope you and your kids absolutely love these printables as much as I do. They’re such a fun way to combine science and creativity—and sneak in a little learning without it feeling like a lesson.

Do you have any other skin tones or a version of just a line drawing of this activity? It’s so frustrating and disappointing to pretty much only see these activities made with people who have fair skin. Thanks for an update if you can make one if there isn’t already one!!
Hi Ann – thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. I am very sorry for this short sightedness on my part. I will do better with future resources ensuring there are a variety of skin tones available.
Thank you very much!
You are so welcome Ann!

Thank you.
Hi Teresa! So sorry about the trouble you are having. Please email me and I will help you: Sarah@HowWeeLearn.com
