I was thrilled to be asked to be a contributor over at Hands on as we Grow. I adore that blog and love how practical, simple, and ‘every day’ the activities Jamie shares are!
I contributed my first post yesterday, and would love for you to check it out. I wrote about reusable alphabet paper chains. We made them a few weeks ago and have been using them almost daily since. So simple to make, so simple to use, and FULL of learning fun! Perfect for quiet time (along with these 54 other ideas!)
Please pop on over to Hands on as we Grow to check out how we made them … and to see how Sam made a “CRAZY!” game with them too.
And please consider following along with us on Facebook so we can keep in touch! Thank you.

Great Idea! I do have one question though. When the child pulls the chain apart does the paper rip or do you laminate it before putting on Velcro?

Great question Diana! I actually used cardstock, which is quite thick so does not rip. It’s almost like the paper duotangs are made from. You could definitely laminate them, or use contact paper over top of one side to strengthen them if using more rip-able paper. I should add this to the post – thanks!!
