Winter Crafts for Toddlers

Even though I am longing for spring – it is definitely still winter. Winter time is a wonderful time to do some crafts with your toddlers. These winter crafts are easy to prepare and simple enough for a toddler to create. They include many different snowmen, snowflakes and winter animal crafts as well as others. They would be perfect for winter or arctic themed lesson plans.

Winter Crafts for Toddlers

Below are 25 different crafts for toddlers to help you get through these long winter days. I’ve organized them by common supplies so you can easily find just the right craft for your toddlers. 

Cotton Ball Crafts

Winter Hat Craft for Toddlers by Journey to SAHM. This printable craft is super simple for toddlers to decorate. Toddlers can easily color or paint the hat and then glue cotton balls on for the trim. 

Cotton Ball Snowman Craft by Mombrite. Toddlers will love gluing cotton balls onto this adorable snowman printable craft. It’s a perfect winter craft for toddlers with easy clean up!

Paper Plate & Cotton Ball Igloo Craft by Glued to My Crafts.  This adorable winter craft uses half a paper plate and cotton balls. It’s a wonderful craft for a winter or arctic theme. 

Cotton Ball Snowy Owl Craft by Our Kid Things. Here is another craft that would be great for a winter or snowy animals theme. All you need are some cotton balls, paper, googly eyes and glue. 

Cotton Ball Penguin Craft by Mombrite. Toddlers can create this cute penguin craft using paper, glue and cotton balls. It’s another great craft to include with a winter or arctic animals theme. 

Paint Crafts

Snowflake Art Project by Twitchetts. This simple, but beautiful snowflake art project is great for toddlers to do. All you need is white paper, washable markers, foil and white oil pastel. 

Snowstorm Winter Process Art by The Keeper of the Memories. With some paint and fun paint “brushes” toddlers can create wonderful winter works of art. There is no right or wrong way to create with process art. 

Polar Bear Art by Natural Beach Living. Toddlers can create this cool polar bear painting with a simple cut out. All you need is paper, paint and cotton balls. 

Snowman Pom Pom Painting by School Time Snippets. With some paint, paper and pom poms toddlers can create this fun winter snowman craft. It’s a great way for toddlers to practice fine motor skills too. 

Winter Trees at Red Ted Art. This is a great winter paint project for toddlers. Using masking tape to create tree, kids then paint all over the paper with blue paint before peeling off the paper. 

Handprint Crafts

Winter Handprint Art by Little Bins for Little Hands. I just love this winter handprint craft! Toddlers will have fun dotting the paper with white paint for snowflakes and parents will adore this keepsake for years to come.

Winter Handprint Craft for Toddlers by Mommy’s Bundle. This cute printable craft is just perfect for babies and toddlers. It would make a great keepsake for parents or grandparents. 

Handprint Penguin Craft by The Best Ideas for Kids. Toddlers can make these adorable handprint penguins with a little help from a parent or teacher. All you need is paper, felt, scissors and glue. 

Handprint Snowflake Art by Fun Handprint Art. Handprint crafts always make great keepsakes for family. Here is a cool handprint snowflake art piece that uses glitter paint. 

Footprint Snowman by The Best Ideas for Kids. Toddlers can create this adorable footprint snowman with a little help. You just need paint, craft supplies and the foot of a toddler.

Alphabet Toddler Snowman Art by Teaching 2 and 3 Year Olds. I love these create snowman collages. Toddler can make unique snowman art with random craft supplies and alphabet stickers. 

Coffee Filter Snowman Craft by Look We’re Learning. This is a simple glueing snowman craft that is perfect for toddlers. All you need to do is cut out the paper pieces for them!

Snowy Owl Paper Bag Puppet Craft by 123Homeschool4Me. Create this fun snowy owl paper bag puppet with your toddlers. For this craft you will need paint, a paper bag, construction paper, scissors and glue. 

Papaer Plate Crafts

Paper Plate Snowman Wreath by 123Homeschool4Me. This paper plate snowman wreath would look adorable on a wall or door. All you need is paper plates, cotton balls, white yarn, paper and glue.

Paper Plate Polar Bear Craft by Little Bins for Little Hands. This simple paper plate craft is easy peasy to make with a free printable. All you need is paper plates, cotton balls, scissors and glue.

Paper Plate Snowflakes by Crafts on Sea. Toddlers can make some beautiful snowflakes with this simple craft. All you need is some paper plates, paint and do-dads.
