A Puppet-Making Quiet Bin

August 5, 2016 by Sarah Leave a Comment

A Quiet Bin idea on Friday. (To add to the ideas in my book A Year of Educational Quiet Bins)

An entire year of educational Quiet Bin ideas for preschoolers and toddlers

Here is the newest Quiet Bin we have added to the rotation this week. And it is a really big hit. Some popsicle sticks, pipecleaners cut in half, a few beads, and a pencil. Oh the puppets that are being crafted …

This is such a great idea for quiet time! This quiet time activity for preschoolers is perfect for independent play.

I made one and placed it in the quiet bin so my boys would get a suggestion for how to use this bin. The pipcleaners are nice and simple to twist around the popsicle sticks and easy to bend for arms and legs.

The beads have been added as hands and feet, and the pencil for drawing a face. Of course the creation of these puppets is just the very first step to this quiet bin. The magic really comes from all that imaginative play after they are built.

Happy weekend friends, thank you so much for reading.
