Laminate Roads

August 8, 2016 by Sarah 2 Comments

We were up at the cottage last week with some of my family. We had a fabulous time, with lots of little ones under foot, and lots of wine to ensure we were enjoying those little ones properly. Ha!

This year, my brave sister Emily brought her brand new, little itty bitty babe, Carter who was all of 3 weeks old. So most of my time, understandably, was spent snuggling this tiny little person. Or staring longingly at those tiny little fingers and adorably chubby cheeks.

A friend of Emily’s had gifted this road to her. How brilliant is this idea? She had some left over laminate flooring and added a touch of masking tape down the middle.

The roads click together and can be made into so many different roadways.

Though of course they were perfect just as they were. The kids had a blast with them – especially adding block towers and making a two lane racing track.

Racing.

Everything must be a competition with these little boys of mine. I am hoping it is just a phase … but then I think of my hubby and wonder if they will actually out grow this competitive nature.

And then I think of myself and realize I certainly never did.

I creamed them in the car races.

Just kidding. I was much too busy snuggling baby Carter.

I hope you had a lovely weekend friends. Happy Monday! Thank you so very much for reading.
