Learning together should feel joyful, meaningful, and—most of all—doable. That’s exactly why I created our collection of 35 (and growing) Family Unit Studies, each thoughtfully bundled into themed groups of five. These bundles give your family everything you need for hands-on, curiosity-driven learning across every subject, all in one place.
Whether your kids love science experiments, animals, art, nature, history, business basics, or holiday magic, there’s a bundle that will spark their imagination.
Let’s take a closer look at what each unit has to offer and a sneak peek into some of the activities.

What is a Family Unit Study?
But first… what exactly is a Family Unit Study?
A Family Unit Study takes one big topic and breaks it down into ten manageable, bite-sized learning topics. This format gives you the freedom to dive into learning at a pace that works for your family.
Perhaps you do one area per day, perhaps one per week. Whatever suits your fancy! You can learn and explore from start to finish in about 1-2 hours per bite-sized learning topic.
Each of the ten topics included in a unit study contains everything you need for that topic, including:
- an interesting fact,
- a discussion question,
- literacy and math extension questions,
- a curated YouTube video,
- suggested information to read,
- a “what’s happening” section,
- and an ultimate can’t-be-beat hands-on activity!
Dive in and watch the sparks of wonder ignite. Watch the child-led learning take off. Watch what happens when children are engaged in what they are learning!
Each Family Unit Study is perfectly bundled into groups of five units to create its own Family Unit Study Bundle! Let’s take a look at what each bundle includes:
