Today is all about Frozen Sensory Play Ideas! I’m talking frozen hats, finding out what happens when you freeze oobleck, strengthening hands with frozen playdough, and so much more. And not a single Elsa or Anna in sight. Promise.
Sensory play is such an important part of a child’s development. It promotes fine motor skills, builds neural connections, develops language, problem-solving, and creativity… There is so much to be gained from sensory play!
But perhaps you are one of those people who say, “But Sarah… the mess! How do you handle the mess?!”
I hear you. That used to be me. But I didn’t talk to Sarah… I mean, I didn’t talk to myself… often.
So, if the idea of mess has been holding you back, today is your lucky day! Your little one might even come out cleaner after trying these sensory activities. But no promises there, after all… kids.
Either way, I hope you find a few new sensory play ideas to try out with your preschooler!
Just before we get into the ideas, you’ll want to grab this Sensory Bins 101 freebie. It is filled with sensory bin inspiration as well as tips and tricks to make sensory play a success (and even less messy). Get your copy right here:
