Give Them Tomorrow

October 7, 2016 by Sarah

I am partnering with March of Dimes today to support their campaign: Give them tomorrow. And what a fabulous cause it is.

As you may now, March of Dimes helps parents with premature babies and works to research prevention of premature births. With hundreds of thousands of premature babies born every year, support for the families in their time of need is certainly necessary.

I have been asked to write a post celebrating a milestone of one of my little ones. Since so many families can only dream of reaching and celebrating these milestones with their children, it is so important that we take time to truly relish in, and appreciate, those moments.

Teaching babies to walk! And celebrating those important milestones with #Givethemtomorrow while partnering with March of Dimes

I remember when my little Ben was just about ready to walk. Being my youngest of three I was in no rush for him to reach that milestone. He was always my go-getter! No matter how much I tried to slow down and enjoy each of those itty bitty baby days he was determined to go fast.

He was my fastest to teeth, sit, and crawl.

But with walking I thought I would have a little bit of a wait. I assumed since he was such an accomplished crawler he would be in no rush to test out those teetering legs. But I was wrong.

At barely 11 months, while playing with his brother with some kitchen chairs he reached from one chair to the next and then … he took 3 full steps right to his big brother. Just like that!

Big brother was as proud as could be. Not only had he just gotten his baby brother to take his first steps – they were right to him.

I think of that moment often. Those two little boys of mine tend to be either the best of friends or – well, the opposite. I think of that moment and know that at the end of the day they are completely there for each other. And always will be.

That is such an important part of life. Having someone be there for you in your time of need. Really, that is what Give them tomorrow is all about.

We need to support these families who have little ones in the NICU. We need to send them strength and love and let them know that they are not forgotten and they are not alone.

March of Dimes has set up a fabulous opportunity for us to easily reach out to these families. By popping over to their website you can make a virtual card for a family in the NICU in just a few clicks. March of Dimes will then hand deliver your card to a parent who could really use your love and support.

We also want to hear about and celebrate your baby’s firsts! Please share on Facebook, Instagram, or Pinterest and use the hashtags #babysfirst and #givethemtomorrow.

Our goal is 380 000 tags on social media, cards to the NICU, or donations to represent the 380 000 babies born prematurely each year in the United States alone.

So please, take a moment – and it really does only take a moment – to pop on over and fill out a card for a Mama who needs it. Because especially when our babies are involved, us Mama’s really need to stick together.

Thank you so much for reading friends. I hope you are having a wonderful week.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of March of Dimes. The opinions and text are all mine.
