While this is a sponsored post for Cobble Hill Farm Apothecary, my love of this soap is absolutely genuine. This is the soap I use myself (and also the lotion and deodorant, I should add). I promise you friends – it’s good stuff.
As you likely know, we are on a quest to live simply. We are trying hard to grow and make our own now that we are on our farm. But over the past year I have learned that those two goals sometimes don’t go hand in hand. Growing and making our own is sometimes far from living simply. Or at least it is for me.
So I am starting slowly. (Well, I suppose that is not true – I started strong and fast, burned out a little, and decided I should slow down). So after one batch of making my own soap, I thought that I could concede on that for awhile. I could purchase some natural, gorgeous soap and still sleep at night. In fact, sleep far better knowing I don’t need to mess around with Lye!
While there are many, many natural products available at Cobble Hill Farm Apothecary, I wanted to mention a few that I use (and love) myself.
Buttermilk Bastille Baby Soap. This soap bar is my favourite baby soap I have used for my little ones. It is nice and gentle and softly scented leaving my little ones smelling perfectly yummy.
Lavender Honey Goats Milk Soap. Each bar of soap we open I declare to be my new favourite. But I think this one might actually win that title. Or at least it does today. I love how big the bars of soap are too – a fabulous deal – and that is coming right from this frugal Mama’s mouth!
Blackberry Sage Whipped Body Butter. This lotion smells divine and I just love the way it feels.
I tell you friends – these are the simple pleasures we all deserve. A Mama needs to take care of herself too.

Your soaps and lotions sound scrumptious. I’ve made soap in the past, but with little ones around I haven’t made any in a long long time. One great benefit of hand-batched soap’s lack of additives is not having to clean soap scum off your tub or shower. When we ditched the big commercially produced soap it was a huge change in cleaning the bathroom.
