Winnie’s Story Unit Study, like all of our ever-growing library of unit studies, takes one big themeβWinnie-the-Poohβand breaks it down into ten manageable, bite-sized learning topics. This format gives you the freedom to dive into learning at a pace that works for your family. Perhaps you do one topic per day, perhaps one per week. Whatever suits your fancy! You can learn and explore topics from start to finish in about 1-2 hours each.
Dive in and watch the sparks of wonder ignite. Watch the child-led learning take off. Watch what happens when children are engaged in what they are learning!
Each of the 10 topics includes:

- a recommended book,
- a math or literacy enrichment question (with three difficulty levels),
- and an ultimate-canβt-be-beat hands-on activity!
Plus, all subjects are covered across the 10 topics! Geography, History, Science, Social Studies, Music, Art, Health, Literacy, and Math.

How does a bear find food, family members, or danger from far away? Learn about the fascinating behaviors of real bears and their incredibly powerful noses. Put your own nose to the test with a Bear Scent Investigation to see which scents you can detect from the farthest away!
Topic #3: The Honey Pot
What makes honey such a special treat – even beyond Pooh’s beloved “hunny”? Find out how busy bees turn flower nectar into honey and store it inside their hives. Finish off this sweet topic by making your very own Beeswax Candle!
Topic #4: Life in the Hundred Acre Wood
What makes the Hundred Acre Wood feel like such a magical place? Learn how the forests and pathways of Ashdown Forest inspired Pooh’s beloved woodland home. Bring it to life with a giant Hundred Acre Wood Floor Map while practicing how to use a compass rose.
