As I have mentioned, I am a big fan of any Holiday or Celebration! My wee ones and I love Halloween. Choosing costumes is something we spend a lot of time thinking about each season – as we like to make our own as much as possible.
I decided to search on Pinterest for some Baby Halloween Costumes – and boy did I find some great ones! I wanted to share these baby Halloween costumes as they are all homemade and amazingly creative! I hope you enjoy!
Baby Scuba Diver
This baby Halloween Costume would be great for the teeniest of tiniest Halloween babes. I love that you could use whatever materials you have around the house too: a soother, onesie and some sort of bottle for the oxygen tank are all that is needed. Adorable.
Carl from Up! would be a hysterical costume for my Ben. This may be in fact the winner for him (though my Sammy wants his to be his Dalmatian as he is going to be a Firefighter). I just love the Balloons attached to the back of the pants. The walker is made out of PVC tubing which is very inexpensive and can be found at any hardware store. Don’t forget the bowtie and those glasses. Oh – Ben is the perfect age for this one too – just about walking… So Cute!
If you are looking for a warm, snuggly, and oh so simple costume – this one may be it! A beanie baby costume! Simply add or make a ‘ty’ tag and attach it to a fuzzy sleeper with ears (I am sure you have a million sleepers with ears – I sure do! They are just so cute, who can resist?). This would be a cute costume for a little one who is venturing out with siblings to trick-or-treat.
I found this baby Halloween costume hilarious. This version has sock legs, but I have seen it made with tights as well. The tights version may be even easier: put your wee one in one pair of tights, stuff 3 other pairs and tie them onto a soft belt. So creative!
Does anyone have a baby girl who would like to trick or treat with my Carl from Up? This Old Lady Costume is so funny. The walker could easily be made from the PVC tubing as well. Can you imagine seeing a wee old lady coming down the sidewalk?!
If you have a wee one who will be staying in a stroller or car seat for the trick-or-treating adventure, this one may be for you. A simple cardboard frame shaped and painted like an iPhone. Your wee one is the ‘picture’.
How cute is this – a little Aerobics instructor – complete with a sweatband. And it could not be easier to make. The little leg warmers could even just be socks with the feet cut out. I think this baby Halloween costume is so unique (and adorable)!
I just love theses glasses! I believe they are made with Wiki Sticks (I get mine from Scholars Choice – they are awesome for many many projects and completely reusable too). And the little jacket and scarf really make the costume.
This one would be my second choice for Benjamin. How adorable? The combination of the tie, glasses, dress shirt, and cape make this costume priceless! Just as cute as can be – and completely home made.
There are so many options for costumes for wee ones. And really, it is all about fun! I always keep that in mind before fully comiting to a costume – I need my wee one to be comfy so we will all have a good time.
I love baby Halloween costumes as it is the one year I get to decide what my wee one will be! Mind you, now that I have two others they seem to think they get a say too! We shall see … we do have some time.

Hi Lynell, Yes – I love Halloween costumes as well. Especially for babies – because they don’t get a say in the matter!!
