Bursting with Family Fun!

December 6, 2017 by Sarah 69 Comments

I am excited to partner with Winning Fingers today to bring you this post about an awesome family game: You’re Busted! This post contains affiliate links.

My Mama is terrified of popping balloons. Which provides some foundation for the reason that my siblings and I are all jumpy and nervous at the sound of balloons popping.

But it makes you ponder why, oh why, my little ones did not inherit this nervousness? I must have done too good of a job at hiding my fear, because goodness did they adore this family game, You’re Busted!

This is such a fun family game! The timer squishes the balloon, and you have to complete your task before the balloon pops! Love it for family game night. #sponsored #winningfingers #games

You’re Busted is SUCH a fun family game. Especially if a Mama is nervous of the sound of balloons popping (kids tend to find it hilarious).

This game is for ages 8 and up, but my whole family played it – even my 5 year old – easily. I assume the age restriction is because of the popping balloons, which many little ones might find spooky.

But for some crazy reason, not my little ones.

You’re Busted comes with playing cards, oodles of balloons, a balloon popping timer, and an I’m Busted Hat.

This is such a fun family game! The timer squishes the balloon, and you have to complete your task before the balloon pops! Love it for family game night. #sponsored #winningfingers #games

The playing cards contain fun and easy activities to do – such as:

Hop on one foot ten times,

Close your eyes and do 5 jumping jacks,

Or give the person beside you a piggy back ride!

I loved these activities. So fun and simple for the whole family. HOWEVER, here’s the catch.

You have to do them while holding a balloon.

What’s the big deal with that? You are asking (I can hear you from here)

The balloon is strapped into the timer and with every second that passes it is getting closer and closer and closer to popping!

Ahhh!

This is such a fun family game! The timer squishes the balloon, and you have to complete your task before the balloon pops! Love it for family game night. #sponsored #winningfingers #games

I tell you, this game was not made for me (or my Mama) but was it ever made for my kiddos. They adore it. They adore it so much more when Mama plays too. Sigh.

The game is nice and simple. You hold the balloon, pick up a card from the deck, complete the activity mentioned on the card, and pass the balloon to the next person. Should the balloon break on your turn, you need to wear the I’m Busted hat making it even trickier when it is your next turn (since you have to keep the hat on your head)

My little ones didn’t wear the hat, but they certainly enforced that Mom or Dad wear the hat when the balloon popped with us!

To make this game go nice and smooth, you begin by blowing up a bunch of the balloons. That way, when the balloon pops, you simply put another balloon in the timer.

OR you could not pre-fill the balloons so you had a few moments to recoup after the POP!

You know … either way.

All joking aside, this was a super fun and simple family game that is sure to add some excitement to your family game night.

You can find You’re Busted: A ticking time bomb family game on Amazon.

But since it is our 3 Days of Giveaways, you have a chance to win it first!

To be entered to win You’re Busted simply leave a comment below.

I can’t wait to hear from you. Winners will be selected on Sunday. Be sure to come back tomorrow for the third day of our Giveaway!

Thank you so much for reading friends. I hope you are having a fabulous week!

This would be a fun game to play with family, but even more fun to play with my school kids/ I am an Occupational Therapist working with kids grades Pre K to 8th grade. It is always hard to find challenging things to do with the older kids.

This looks like a fun game. This is kind of like a combination of hot potato and musical chairs. Like you, I have a sister with a fear of balloons popping. I used to torture her as a kid squeaking balloons Wouldn’t this be a great gift for her kids!!
