Things have been busy around here lately friends. And truthfully, not fabulous. Nothing big at all, and I know I shouldn’t complain, just a lot of not so super days. You know the ones I am sure, the ones that make it hard to be the Mama.
Given the above, I have had a couple of blue days. On days when I am feeling a little down I try really hard to think up something kind I could do for someone else. Making other people happy really helps me feel happy too.
I decided to make some holiday craft boxes to spread a little holiday cheer to the little loves in my life. And just like that, I felt completely blessed – I have SO many little loves in my life! Between my own little ones, my nieces and nephews, and my friends little ones I could have made dozens and dozens of these boxes.
As you know, we love our quiet bins! So I used a few of the quiet bin ideas from my book and some general holiday crafting ideas to make these cute holiday craft boxes. I made five and was so happy with how they turned out!
Of course you could put anything at all inside a holiday craft box, but to give you an idea here is what I put inside ours:
- some red and green paper plates (to make some simple Christmas balls)
- little felt ornaments
- pieces of tissue paper and wrapping paper
- stickers, crayons, and bingo dabbers for decorating
- some paper snowflakes
- lots of Christmas cards with envelopes
- strips of paper for making paper chains
I really hope it puts a smile on some little faces (and some Mama faces too).
I tell you this kindness stuff is so good for the soul.
I hope you are having a lovely week friends. Thank you very much for reading.
