It has been busy around here lately. Busy and full of change. Change I will talk to you about in the next day or so – just not quite yet. It is all good change, but change the same. And change is hard … or at least it is for this Mama.
So I am not quite ready to talk to you about Sammy starting school today. Partly because I just can’t think about it in too much depth or I start to cry, which I know is silly. But I tell you, this change thing is hard! I will say that he is ready, and I am ready (in theory and at a very superficial level – as I write this through tears … ridiculous) But anyways, that is exactly why I will not be writing about this quite yet.
Instead? Well, instead I thought it was time for something that every Mama, teacher, and daycare provider that I know could really use! Use way more that a blubbering story about a Mama who’s little one is starting Kindergarten.
5 Minute Halloween Crafts!
As you know, Halloween is a mere 6 days away. Time to embrace this fun holiday with some quick and easy crafts! These crafts are fabulous as they also make great decorations. Fun to create and fun to display!
Let’s get started:
Leaf-y Jack-o-lanterns. You really can’t get much easier. Fabulous for home or the classroom!
Chalk ghosts. These would be great for the chalk board, or for construction paper. And using cardboard cut outs would work just as well as cookie cutters!
SOCK-ingly spooky ghosts! A sock, scissors, and some markers and you have got a ghost craft!
Sensory Ghosts. These are fabulous and simple for kids of every age.
Jack-o-Lantern Window Decoration. This one is great to use during quiet time, or as a whole class activity. Pop it up in your little ones bedroom and they have a Halloween decoration when they are done!
Playdough Monsters. Whip up a batch of playdough, add some googly eyes, pipecleaners, and buttons and your little ones can create their own Halloween Monsters!
A Pumpkin Pinwheel. Very cute, and loads of fun to play with afterwards.
Dixie Ghosts. Another version of the cotton ball ghost craft, this one for bigger kiddos.
Facial Tissue Ghosts. This one is my Sammy’s personal favourite. He becomes a facial tissue ghost making machine from about mid-October until Halloween. So super simple, but fabulous all the same.
Jack-o-lantern shaving cream art. If you are up for the mess, this one is a great experience for little ones!
Pumpkin Name Puzzle. And last but not least is this Mama’s personal favourite. Pumpkin name puzzles! Cute and super duper full of learning.
There you have it! Loads of 5 minute crafts to help you embrace the next 6 days. And I must thank you for providing me the distraction I needed tonight.
Wish me luck tomorrow friends …. I mean Sammy, wish Sammy luck.
