Are you ready for some easy (like, really easy), fun-filled, sweet, memory-making Christmas crafts? Because it’s time for our annual 5 Days of Construction Paper Christmas Crafting!
If you’re new here, let me explain…
A few years back, on one particularly busy week leading up to Christmas, I was looking for some Christmas crafts to do with my little ones. However, I was most definitely not willing to take another trip to the stores to gather supplies. No siree. I needed crafts that used our pile of construction paper, what tape I had left, and that trusty pair of junk drawer scissors.
And so, these five easy Christmas crafts were born!
Five Easy Christmas Crafts
These crafts have become a bit of a tradition in our home at Christmastime, as well as here on the blog, where so many of you sweet readers craft along with me.
So, if you’re looking for some simple and fun crafting to do with your little ones, you’re in the right place!
You can choose to do these paper crafts one each day, dive into a construction paper Christmas crafting marathon, or simply choose one that feels best to you.
Ready? Here they are!
Day 1: Winter Tree Art Project
Paper Winter Tree Art Project: This simple idea is so much fun and great for big and little kids alike. Older children can practice making the snow spirals on the tree, and younger children can snip or rip the snow out of the paper. Click through for all the instructions.
Day 2: Ripped Paper Candy Cane Mosaic
Ripped Paper Candy Cane Mosaic: This easy paper Christmas craft was a HUGE hit with my youngest AND my oldest. Very few crafts can achieve that status in my home! For this craft, we ripped up red and green paper and glued it on a candy cane shape—nice and easy, but loads of fun, and it turns out beautiful.
Day 3: Woven Paper Christmas Basket
Weaving a Paper Christmas Basket: Don’t let this one trick you; it is a VERY easy paper Christmas craft for kids to make. Within this blog post, I also share with you how to make a simple toddler version. Fun and easy for the whole family—I promise!
Day 4: Paper Chain Doll Bracelets
Making Christmas Paper Chains: This simple and classic Christmas craft is a perfect way to use that construction paper! You can make the regular old Christmas red and green paper chains, or you can change it up and make tiny paper chains as bracelets or necklaces perfect to get all of those stuffed animals and dolls festive!
Day 5: Rolled Paper Rudolph
Rolled Paper Rudolph: While I did forget the antlers on this cute little guy, it is still such a fun little craft. Nice and easy to make, and the imaginative play after is fantastic!! This construction paper craft is a great one for older children to make as a gift to younger siblings.
And there you have it! Five days of simple construction paper Christmas crafts. I hope they helped you and yours to get in the holiday spirit.
Thank you so much for joining me, and Merry Christmas, my friend!

Great Laurie! Me too!
Thank you! I can’t wait to do these with my grand-daughter. She is about to be turning 4 this coming up February and she is all hands on right now which I love. I also have a 1 and a half year old grandson who loves copying everything his big sister does! He has to have a crayon and paper if we are coloring and gets super mad when he cant have my scissors lol But I absolutely love his age too! Everything is so amazing, and wow to him! Thats actually one of his favorite words right now… he sees something that catches his eyes and he points and says wow! too precious! Anyway, just wanted to say Thank you for all you send out to us all!
